Axie Infinity co-founder jihoz_axie has shared early results from the second playtest of an unannounced game, reporting a +47 Net Promoter Score (NPS) — a strong metric for a gaming product, though he noted room for improvement.
In a post on X, Jihoz highlighted that the playtest included web2 gamers and community members outside the Axie/Ronin ecosystem to avoid feedback bias from the existing fanbase. This approach, he said, ensures the team receives candid opinions rather than just input from within the "Axie/Ronin bubble."
While overall feedback was "mostly good," Jihoz acknowledged "pockets of concern" that the team is noting for future iterations. The +47 NPS compares favorably to industry benchmarks, where scores above 50 are considered excellent for games.
The playtest is part of ongoing development at Sky Mavis, the studio behind Axie Infinity and the Ronin Network, as it continues to expand its gaming portfolio beyond the flagship title. No details on the game's name or release date have been disclosed.
Jihoz's update comes amid broader activity in the Ronin ecosystem, including recent migrations and partnerships. The team is expected to share more details as development progresses.
