Ronin Network co-founder jihoz_axie announced that a wrapped ERC-20 version of RON will soon be tradeable on Coinbase, replacing the previously listed version that has been sunset.
The transition involves a new wrapped RON liquidity pool on Ethereum, enabling continued trading of the token on the major exchange. The move ensures RON remains accessible to Coinbase users while leveraging Ethereum's infrastructure for liquidity.
ronin_network is the Ethereum sidechain powering axieinfinity and other Web3 gaming applications. The network has seen growing adoption as a gaming-focused blockchain, with RON serving as its native gas and staking token.
This listing update comes as Ronin continues expanding its ecosystem, having recently launched its zkEVM chain and attracted new game partnerships. The wrapped RON pool on Ethereum represents a technical bridge between the Ronin sidechain and the broader DeFi ecosystem on Ethereum.
